Hello autumn. Hello September. Hello huuuge exhale.
So, August. I took a deep breath and didn’t let it out for 31 days (that’s a joke but not really). I turned 21 and that was fun, went to Nashville for a weekend with some family, and then the unfortunate news came that my grandmother passed away after a month and a half battle with cancer. What a trip.
I honestly was not all that focused on work tasks during the month as you might guess, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to share. There is always something poppin’ in the Snoots world. Let us begin:
Danielle and I brainstormed some ideas to celebrate our two year anniversary and we decided it would be a great opportunity to do another giveaway, but this time we wanted to try something a little different. So, to celebrate our birthday month, we launched the Give-Back Campaign! I was so pumped about this that I spent almost all of August preparing and I’m proud to announce that the sale is live! The Give-Back Campaign is specific to just our bodysuits as our hearts were set on supporting mommies and their newborns. For every bodysuit purchased during September, we will donate a matching one to a local hospital or charity. Technically you’re paying half-price for two bodysuits: one you will receive, and one will be gifted to a child in need. It’s saddening that organic cotton essentials are not easily accessible for all newborns since something as simple as a clean fabric helps prevent auto-immune diseases, skin irritation, and many future health issues. Quality childhood necessities should not only be reserved for those that are more fortunate. The organizations that we’re working with are over the moon about this idea, and honestly, I wish we would’ve done something like this earlier! Our community means so much to us and has supported us for the two years we’ve been in biz which makes us more than excited to give back the kindness we’ve received. We have been blessed.

I also shot and edited a look book video! I know the weather is slowly getting chillier (emphasis on slowly), but I think short-sleeves wont be going anywhere for a while. #michiganseasons #whatarethose (Also, please note that this was my very first video shoot attempt with my new camera so yes, I realize it’s a little shaky lol I’m working on it.)
My cousin’s kiddos are the sweetest little things. Enjoy this video of them exploring the greenhouse with their momma. (And check out the cute basic tees, especially under those overalls!)
Lastly, we have another event coming up soon! This is our first out of state event and I cannot wait! If you happen to find yourself out in Illinois, stop by and say hi! Here are the details:
Sunday, September 15th – Oh’ Baby Expo hosted by Induo Events
Sale times: 11am – 3pm // Possible small entry fee
Sheraton Lisle Naperville Hotel
3000 Warrenville Road
Lisle, IL 60532
And that’s all, folks! After the events of August, I think it’s been more than communicated to me that I should spend as much time as humanly possible with those that I love and understand that every morning I open my eyes is another opportunity to experience the beauty of life. I have peace in knowing my grandma’s seen her Creator’s face and that the mission He had for her is complete. I don’t believe anything is an accident, both good and bad things. That being said, I know Snoots is no accident. This is a part of my story, of Danielle’s story, and a part of yours, too. Two years in this business has taught me more about myself and more about my faith than the other 19 years of my life and even if that’s what I gain in the end, it was time well spent. Life changes but I wouldn’t change it for the world… that’s a Thomas Rhett song maybe? Ew. Anyway, I’m done. Love you guys. Thanks for keeping up.
